Cactus Club Cafe

We had an amazing dining experience at cactus club. We showed up for happy hour and our waitress Samantha was extremely kind and knowledgeable. We then got switched to Hillary who topped off our night with her energy and quick wit. Our food was great and our service was better!

Great service, super friendly staff members. Convenient and competitive prices. Great quality and presentation, however little pricy for their portions.

Food was great, but mostly writing this review because of how fantastic our server was. Joe was our server. He is honest about portion sizes and checks on your table the perfect amount of times.

I don’t typically review chain restaurants, as I usually don’t have anything very nice or helpful to say…But I had a wonderful experience! The lady who took my order on the phone was super efficient and super clear and super knowledgable so it started off great. Helped me put a yummy order together for my family. Then I had an awesome chat with the guy named Joe who is running the curb side pickup... he’s the bomb! Thanks to both of you for brightening my day.

What a great night food was excellent. Hillary was amazing really she made our night. The manager was great. Good view great atmosphere.

This is where it all began, the first Cactus club restaurant was created by Canada's first Iron Chef, Rob Feenie. Great food and a wonderful atmosphere in one of the north shores great restaurants. Check it out before or after you explore many one the north shores attractions.

I never realized that this is their flagship location. It's unique for its decor and signage. The customer service is top notch as always. I went on a Wednesday lunch and it was packed.

Fantastic and fresh! Delivery was quick and food tasted as great as it does dining in.

Very nice atmosphere, tender and juicy steak, and most of all, very friendly and helpful staff Joe to talk with. This is a place you must go in North Vancouver! 👍

I'm so happy that cactus has gotten on the plant based band wagon! Their vegan dessert is insanely delicious - you have to try it. Our server, Joe, was so friendly and made sure everything was perfect for us because our table was a little more complicated with a vegan and a peanut allergy. Thanks Joe ;)

We came in an hour before close and still received impeccable service. Joe was refreshingly happy to serve us, made excellent recommendations and really made us feel welcome. The service and atmosphere was A++. Steak like butter and wine by candlelight, yes pleeeeease. Really appreciate that the music wasn't deafening. It was perfect.

Joe is the most amazing person I have ever met in customer service! I love the original location. All staff are so amazing and inviting!

Two Times in two days that does say everything! The food is wonderful, surprising, creative and very very tasty! We love it! Our three boys did love the burger! Our waitress the two evenings in Follow was Hannah! Thanks to her, she was THE BEST ;), not just because of her nickname (we have to keep it a secret, said my youngest son), with a big smile! Thanks for the funny and tasty adventure! Hopefully we see us again in the Best location in (North) Vancouver!

How can you go wrong for good casual food. Get it in your calendar for wed half price wine bottles ... No-brainer. Parking is also easy.

This place constantly provides high quality service and great food! It feels cozy in here despite the fact that I rarely ever have to wait for a table. The variety in their menu is great and leaves options for everyone.

Always come to this location for the happy hour. great deals and good quality food and portions. prefer this location for the relaxation and casualness and the staff. If you go, ask for Zoe! She’s friendly, fun and efficient with her service. Will be going back even more often just because of our experience with her!

Went in Sunday afternoon for lunch, Sam was our server and she was great! Food was delicious as well :)

Food was great - especially the Tuna stack that was amazing. Also loved the white chocolate cake for dessert. The only bad thing i have to say about this place is slow service: i was by myself and it took me an hour and a half to finish eating and pay.

The best, the OG, Cactus Club. It's small and has a rustic/cabin sort of feel but the food and drinks are good. Good selection of appies and mains, and usually some happy hour special going on each day.Both bar and table seating here, enclosed patio too.

the 1st Cactus Club and for me, they should invest more on it as its very old and definitely needs a lift. Or maybe to move it to the Shipyards / LoLo area

Whenever we go there, Joe takes amazing care of us and goes above and beyond service wise to make sure we leave with a five star experience. He always takes time when he's free to talk to us and is throughly attentive if we need something to make our meals exceptional. We keep coming back to this location because of Joe's service towards making memorable experiences!

What I like about the Cactus Club restaurants is that their menu is consistent at every location. But the nice thing about the Pemberton Ave location is its simple ambiance and local appeal, good food and helpful staff. Recommend for lunch and dinner!

Always love this place. So easy to just show up and have a great meal that’s consistent and good. This place is old school great. Thanks to Joe for keeping our glasses full and suggesting the potato skins and the lettuce wraps and the flatbread and an extra glass of wine. Too much but.... oh so worth it!!!

This is my favorite Cactus club. We finally decided to do take out during our Isolation and decided we really wanted to support this Cactus Club. Joe is the Best! When we would eat in we always asked to sit in his section. He makes the night and experience not just a dinner out! He's amazing, consistent, efficient, and always goes above and beyond. Thanks Joe for making our time during COVID better. Great pick up set up too!

My first time...at cactus club LOL! I was extremely pleased with the service! It was nothing like I've experienced before; although, being a bit of a home hermit that's no surprise HAHA. I was a little skeptical on venturing out of my comfort zone (my house) but Katherine really brought me out of my lonely shell, and helped me feel very welcome! In fact, it was quite thrilling! She gave great recommendations and was very charming! She did not fail to spice up my world with the lettuce wraps (I'm a huge spice girls fan.) Definitely will be coming back very soon!

Menu is over priced for what they offer

Great for lunch or dinner friendly staff lots of room on the covered exterior patio.This is the modern bowl with tuna. It’s not on the menu but who can beat any dish with tuna yum yum

One of the first Cactus Club, they kept the interior decorations original, which is nice, but the restaurant is a bit small, and parking is hard to find.

The Masters of consistency throughout all their locations providing quality food from Vancouver's own food architect Rob Fernie whom if he cooked dog droppings I would eat it.

The food here is overpriced to put it short, you're not really paying for an extra special meal or higher quality or anything. That said it's a safe and solid meal every time you go, just be prepared to wait for a table because it's always rammed. The reason I'm rating it 3 instead of 4 starts is that it's basically a chain restaurant that charges too much for it's average restaurant food.

I came here a while ago, and i had the pleasure of having Joe serve us. Was the best service that i have ever received! Very informative and made me feel welcomed. I also noticed that with each person he was serving, he was able to have a personalized conversation with them individually which makes a person feel more welcomed.

Great location, loved the decor and atmosphere. The food here was honestly tastier than any cactus club I’ve been to with even better service! Joe is wonderful server!

Great atmosphere, friendly service and great food. All at a reasonable price..A great place to meet friends or go single.It is up to you, just have a drink, some light snacks or a whole meal.. They have it all and are as happy to serve a $5 drink as a $100 meal..

C.C. is among the better chain restaurants in town (in my view). Although they don’t have a kids menu, the servers hear are always happy to split items like chicken fingers into two kid-sized meals. And then there is the mini burger!

Honestly, I've been to this place many times before, and I just can't recommend it enough! It's the perfect place for a quick bite, or a nice long meal, especially with a large menu variety. The servers are always very kind and helpful. One of my favourite dishes here are the chicken tenders, which are nice and crispy, and are served with a delicious honey mustard sauce. The food is amazing, and you can't really go wrong with anything on the menu! O would recommend Cactus Club for anyone, local or tourist, at any age (even kids)! Come here for delicious food, great service, and good times.

This place is phenomenal. Do you know it's the original location. Been there for 30+ years!?! The staff take customer satisfaction seriously but they also tend to be funny and friendly. The kitchen isn't messing around. Prepare to be full.

The staff here went above and beyond today! We ordered delivery off DoorDash due to the pandemic as we wanted to enjoy some of their delicious desserts and spicy chicken. There was a glitch with DoorDash where no drivers were picking up the order. Instead of the staff just waiting for the app to find another delivery driver (as many other restaurants would), Cactus Club got one of their own staff members to deliver the order to us! They absolutely did not have to do this but just demonstrated their outstanding customer service. Thanks so much to all of your staff! We can’t wait to order from this location again and come back for date night when this pandemic is over!

Came in last night (the 23rd) for Happy Hour and, while the food was delicious, Sam S really made our experience that much better! She gave great recommendations off of the happy hour menu and also made sure to swing by our table right before happy hour ended to ensure we had everything we needed before it ended, which we really appreciated. If you go, ask for Sam and also get the ravioli duo, you won't regret it!

Food comes on time and hot. Prices are reasonable for the quality of restaurant it is. There is a dish for everyone, selection is great. They also have a happy hour 3-6pm 9pm-close (dine in only). Great selection on happy hour and great prices with the same quality of food. Great place for a birthday or just to hangout with friends. If you like sports they play them at the bar. Book ahead for large groups. It can get busy. Joe is the best server.

The Bandera salad and truffle fries are my favourite. Staff are nice as well!

Joeh is an excellent server! Even during the world's toughest times, he makes people smile and gives amazing service!
